Privacy policy

This policy explains the limited personal data used to operate, measure and improve iGaming Atlas.

Last updated 9 September 2026

Who is responsible

iGaming Atlas is the controller of personal data processed through this editorial research publication, which is based in Lisbon, Portugal. Privacy questions, objections and data-rights requests can be submitted through the contact form or the public editorial email shown in the site footer.

Data we may process

  • Information you submit, such as name, email address, subject and message.
  • Any Atlas Alerts registration records retained from before the current release lock.
  • Consent state and limited cookieless consent and analytics tag-delivery signals while analytics storage is denied.
  • Optional analytics data and measurement storage after you give consent.
  • Advertising consent, delivery and fraud-prevention signals associated with Google AdSense.
  • Technical security information needed to prevent abuse and keep the site available.
  • Your stored analytics preference on the device you use.

Why we use it

  • To answer enquiries, correction requests and rights requests, based on our legitimate interest in operating an accurate editorial service and taking steps requested before a possible commercial arrangement.
  • To retain any legacy Atlas Alerts record only while rights, suppression or deletion requests are handled. The public page does not collect email addresses or preferences, and no email delivery is active in this release.
  • To understand aggregate consent and tag delivery with analytics storage denied, based on our legitimate interest in maintaining reliable measurement, and to measure detailed page and tool usage after you select “Allow analytics”, based on consent.
  • To protect the website, investigate abuse and keep records needed to establish or defend legal claims, based on legitimate interests and legal obligations.

We do not sell personal data. Where advertising is shown, Google and approved ad partners may process advertising data in line with the choices collected through a Google-certified consent platform.

Service providers

Contact submissions are stored in the Site's Cloudflare D1 database and forwarded to the editorial inbox through Formspree. This durable copy prevents a provider or inbox delivery problem from silently losing an enquiry. Any retained Atlas Alerts records are also stored in Cloudflare D1. A code-level release gate prevents Atlas Alerts delivery, and Resend is not called for this service in the current release. Google Analytics may process limited cookieless signals while analytics storage is denied and optional measurement data after consent. Google AdSense and approved ad partners process advertising and fraud-prevention data using a Google-certified consent platform where required. Hosting and content delivery providers process the technical information needed to serve and secure the site. These providers receive only the information needed for their role.

Google explains how it uses information from publisher websites in its partner-sites privacy notice.

Some providers may process information outside your country. Where data-protection law requires it, transfers must rely on an adequacy decision, approved contractual safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism.

How long information is kept

Contact enquiries are normally kept for up to 24 months after the last meaningful exchange. Correction and dispute records may be kept longer where needed to preserve the integrity of the editorial record or establish a legal claim. Security records are kept only for the period needed to investigate and prevent abuse. Analytics retention follows the configured Google Analytics period. Analytics cookies and identifier-based measurement only apply after consent.

We do not use retained Atlas Alerts records for email delivery. They remain suppressed while we administer access, objection, deletion and unsubscribe requests and review the appropriate retention or minimisation action. When an unsubscribe request is recorded, the address and suppression status may be retained to prevent unintended future delivery. Other retained details remain subject to deletion and data-minimisation review.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw analytics consent at any time through Cookie settings in the footer. If you have a working Atlas Alerts unsubscribe link, you may use it. Otherwise, contact us to request access, objection or deletion. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before it.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. You may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred.

Children and security

iGaming Atlas is an informational service for adults and is not directed to children. Please do not submit personal information if you are under 18. We use proportionate organisational and technical measures to protect submitted information, but no internet transmission is completely secure.

Cookies

Read the cookie policy for details about optional analytics and device preferences.

Policy changes

Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised update date. If a change materially affects consent-based processing, a new choice will be requested where required.
