The Danish Gambling Authority has opened applications for land-based casino licences of up to ten years. Complete application material must reach the authority by 3 November 2026 or it will not be considered in this round.

The draft notified to the European Commission on 4 August 2026 proposes an open online-concession procedure, a central cross-operator deposit limit, payment blocking, blacklisting and network blocking. A three-month standstill applies before the law can be adopted.

In June 2026 the authority ordered Norsk Tipping to correct the mandatory one-hour break in KongKasino by 15 November 2026, backed by a conditional NOK 15,000 daily coercive fine from 16 November. The fine has not started. The case shows why operator authorisation and ongoing product compliance must be checked separately.

Since 1 August 2026, licensees required to register players must use their assigned credentials for Spelpaus checks, including checks performed by a contractor. Direct-marketing checks use the marketing APIs; registration and login checks use the login API. A check is complete only when it returns whether the person is self-excluded.

In its 13 August 2026 notice, the GGL says bets on political, social, economic and other non-sport events are not licensable in Germany. Assessment of a particular offer depends on its design and accessibility from Germany. An offer that effectively excludes German participation is not automatically an unauthorised German offer.

The FGB published a new unauthorised-online-games list on 25 August 2026. Its accompanying official chart records 3,567 blocked domains. This is negative domain-level evidence, not a count of licensed or active operators.

Gespa replaced its 11 June blocklist with a new 25 August 2026 edition. Swiss internet providers must apply DNS blocking to the listed domains; absence from the list is not proof that a site is authorised.

The CGA PDF contains 663 licence rows: 569 B2C and 94 B2B. Its displayed statuses split into 281 assessment, 207 indefinite, 60 expired, 50 revoked and 65 unqualified rows; only 60 unqualified rows have coherent terms covering the snapshot date.

MP 1.394/2026 prohibits fixed-odds advertising, marketing and sponsorship, with ten days to remove existing materials. The July risk-warning rules no longer establish permission to advertise. Article 17 contains a limited exception for previously published content carrying incidental advertising.

Eight follow-on licences announced by the KSA took effect on 1 October 2026. Seven represented Atlas relationships were rechecked against their individual decisions on 2 October: each runs through 30 September 2031. The prior terms ended on 30 September 2026. Permissions differ by entity; a permitted product is not necessarily offered by every associated consumer brand.

From 1 December 2026, a provider must cease online-casino operations unless it operated when the Act commenced and has submitted a full licence application. A qualifying applicant may continue without advertising only until its decision or 1 June 2027, whichever comes first. A declined applicant must exit.

The authority's Danish/Swedish accreditation transition applies to audits completed before 1 January 2027, unless the assessment body's accreditation scope has been extended to the Finnish requirements by that date. Audits must still assess the Finnish rules. This is a dated accreditation condition, not a waiver of Finnish standards or automatic launch approval.

After reviewing operators’ 2026 promotional strategies, the ANJ reported budget growth above 25% and asked operators not to exceed their declared budgets during the football World Cup, signalling active scrutiny of advertising pressure and vulnerable audiences.

Since March 2026, every operator permitted to offer gambling online in Norway should display Spillmerket on its website or app. Use the mark as a starting point, then confirm the organisation and permission in Pengespillregisteret. A permission for bingo, a lottery or a poker tournament does not prove authority for online casino or sports betting.

Gespa states that prediction-market contracts generally fall within gambling and specifically betting. Only sports-event betting is eligible for authorisation in Switzerland, and the online sports-betting monopoly remains with Swisslos and Loterie Romande.

Since 1 May 2026, licensees and gambling agents must not allow or facilitate credit-funded gambling and must take appropriate preventive measures. Online operators must block credit cards and address credit-funded e-wallet payments. The regulator does not require an investigation of every payment, but known credit-funded stakes must be refused. Limited exemptions may apply to public-benefit lotteries.

The National Police Board reported 50 applications by 8 June 2026, most from foreign applicants. The 2026 processing fee is €29,000 per application and the June announcement estimated about six months for processing. It did not name the applicants, so the total cannot be used to label individual brands as licensed.

GRAI remote-betting licences began on 1 July 2026. Licensees are subject to age verification, payment-of-winnings duties, ongoing monitoring, sanctions and enforcement against unlicensed activity.

From 1 July 2026, VDACS no longer has statutory authority to administer the Fantasy Contests Act. Its official notice allows operators with a prior valid registration to continue until Virginia Lottery regulations and the operator’s permit decision. The published register dated 30 June 2026 includes DraftKings and FanDuel.

A large group of betting and online-casino licences expires at the end of 2026. The regulator says complete renewal applications for licences expiring on 31 December should be filed by 1 September because indicative processing takes about three months.

On 8 September 2026 the LPT said access to polymarket.com must be blocked and payment providers must stop transactions involving Adventure One QSS, Inc. The notice publishes no fine or criminal conviction.

MP 1.394/2026 prohibits fixed-odds sports betting and online games. New authorisations and incoming bettor funds are barred from publication. Sites must close after ten days; authorisations expire after thirty days. Existing balances and unsettled bets are subject to its restitution rules.

Application and annual fees are banded by annual gross gambling yield. The UKGC has published a new fee structure taking effect on 1 October 2026, so both the current band and the forthcoming band must be checked before budgeting.

The Ministry of Justice notice updated on 29 September sets voluntary withdrawals through 5 October 2026 at 23:59 and website/app closure from 6 October. The Senate records extinction of authorisations on 25 October. The transition does not permit new bettor deposits; other legally authorised lottery modalities are outside the measure’s fixed-odds scope.

A cross-operator deposit-limit system is scheduled for 25 March 2027, with default limits of €700 per day, €1,750 per week and €3,300 per four weeks. Higher guarantee amounts take effect on 1 January 2027; other provisions have separate commencement rules.

Joint remote-identification provisions apply immediately to new systems. Eligible solutions already in use may continue only while implementation work is demonstrable and must comply fully by 1 May 2027; the transition is not a general KYC exemption.

Until 30 June 2027, Veikkaus Oy retains the exclusive right to organise and market gambling in mainland Finland. Other services targeting Finland remain prohibited during this transition.

Online applications have been accepted since 2 March 2026, but services and marketing under the new system cannot begin before 1 July 2027. An application therefore proves neither approval nor commercial availability; a gambling licence may be granted for no more than five years.

Applications for gambling software licences open on 1 July 2027. This is a supplier-licensing milestone, distinct from the earliest start of licensed gambling services on 1 July 2027. An application is not a granted software licence or proof that a particular product or supplier is approved.

Österreichische Lotterien GmbH remains authorised to offer electronic lotteries and online gambling through win2day.at until 30 September 2027.

From 1 July 2028, supplying software for gambling requires a gaming software licence from the supervisory authority. This is separate from the opening of software-licence applications on 1 July 2027 and the operator launch timetable. Do not infer supplier approval from an operator application or licence.

The Act provides for a National Gambling Exclusion Register, but GRAI describes the central system as being developed. Atlas does not present it as operational until the regulator confirms launch.

The July register covers remote betting only. GRAI states that further categories, including gaming, lotteries, B2B and charitable licences, will open through 2027 and 2028; existing bodies continue for sectors not yet commenced.

The licence table updated 14 September 2026 lists Crab Sports Inc. with Date Closed 20 July 2026. The legal-online HTML directory still lists the brand. Atlas preserves the discrepancy and blocks any inference of current availability; the sources do not establish licence revocation.

DIA plans a public register and a registration icon after licences are granted. Neither exists as current positive licence evidence, and DIA has not published a total or public list of accepted EOI participants. Atlas therefore lists no online-casino licensees during the assessment stage.

The expression-of-interest window closed on 14 August and submissions are now under assessment. DIA expects an auction in September and full applications from October. Up to 15 single-brand licences may eventually be issued, but an accepted EOI or successful auction bid is only a route to apply, not a licence.

Norwegian banks and payment institutions must stop deposits and payouts they know are connected to gambling without Norwegian permission. The duty covers foreign card transactions coded MCC 7995 and concealed routes through third-party processors; it applies even when the regulator has not issued a named account order.

A domain entered in the public illegal-gambling register must be blocked by Polish internet providers within 48 hours. Payment providers must stop serving that website within 30 days. This is negative domain-level evidence and is not a substitute for the positive legal-operator list.

The latest technical-system approval visible on 9 October was the resolution dated 1 October 2026 for Comar Inversiones, S.A., covering its singular fixed-odds sports-betting and slot-machine licences. Technical approval does not establish a new operator record or permission for unrelated games.
