The full register and downloadable business CSV each contained 2,642 records on 11 September 2026, but the landing card displayed 2,641. Atlas uses the enumerated full-register and CSV total until the Commission reconciles its one-record display discrepancy.

Local licence trigger

A UKGC remote operating licence is required to offer remote gambling to consumers in Great Britain, regardless of where the operator is based. Separate remote operating licences apply to the gambling activities offered.

Remote casino fees

Key date: 1 Oct 2026

Application and annual fees are banded by annual gross gambling yield. The UKGC has published a new fee structure taking effect on 1 October 2026, so both the current band and the forthcoming band must be checked before budgeting.

Remote Gaming Duty

Remote Gaming Duty is charged on remote gaming profits attributable to UK persons. HMRC records a 40% rate from 1 April 2026.

Customer identity before play

In-scope remote licensees must obtain and verify customer identity before the customer is permitted to gamble. The required information includes name, address and date of birth.

Remote self-exclusion

Remote licensees must provide an effective self-exclusion process, prevent excluded customers from gambling and signpost counselling and support. The code also requires controls over associated accounts and payment cards.

Current compliance baseline

The Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice are the operating baseline for UKGC licensees. The current online version is effective from 29 July 2026 and covers financial controls, customer funds, payments, AML, advertising, identity, player protection and complaints.
