Federal authorisation and domains

Since 1 January 2025, only companies authorised by the SPA may operate nationally under the administrative framework. Each authorisation may cover up to three brands, and federally authorised consumer sites use the .bet.br namespace.

Administrative register coverage

The current authorised-company table contains 85 authorisation rows covering 82 unique company CNPJs, 188 brand rows and 185 defined domains. Atlas imports every brand row and keeps the three source entries whose domain is still marked as pending.

Operations under court orders

The SPA publishes these separately from administrative authorisations. The current judicial file contains 2 companies and 6 brand-domain rows; Atlas preserves that distinction instead of merging both legal bases into one licensed total.

Product-level evidence boundary

The company table identifies legal entity, CNPJ, brand, domain, request and authorisation, but it does not state a sportsbook, casino or poker product mix for each brand. Atlas therefore does not infer brand-level products from this source.

Centralised self-exclusion

Brazil’s central SPA service can block all accounts at nationally authorised betting platforms, prevent new registration and stop targeted advertising. Operators receive the request automatically and have up to 72 hours to apply the block.

Authentication and geolocation

On each access, a bettor must authenticate with credentials or biometrics. After 30 minutes of inactivity the system must require authentication again, and location is checked before the first bet and at 30-minute intervals.

Advertising warnings from July 2026

From 17 July 2026, betting advertising must display one of the Ministry of Finance risk warnings clearly and legibly across at least 10% of the advert. Advertising aimed at minors or promoting unauthorised platforms is prohibited.
