The short answer

  • Atlas currently holds ten distinct Betsson market relationships. Nine have regulator evidence inside this guide's 30-day review window; the Greece exact-domain match is dated 28 July and explicitly marked for recheck.
  • A Betsson brand match must be checked with the local entity, exact consumer domain and permitted activity. The same international brand does not carry one transferable licence.
  • Denmark, Lithuania, France, Italy, Sweden, Brazil, Peru, Buenos Aires Province and Spain illustrate materially different current records; Greece illustrates why an older positive match must not be presented as freshly checked.
  • A betting, casino or broad remote-gambling result should never be silently expanded into permission for every product or every Betsson domain.

The short answer: Betsson does not have one worldwide licence

Atlas currently holds ten Betsson market relationships. Nine are supported by regulator evidence checked inside this high-risk guide's 30-day review window. The Greece relationship is retained as a dated positive match but marked recheck due because the exact-domain result was last cleanly captured on 28 July. None is a blanket statement that the brand is available, authorised or identical everywhere.

The practical test is four-part: identify the jurisdiction, match the legal entity, check the precise consumer domain, then read the permitted activity. Skipping any one of those steps can turn a useful licence check into an overclaim.

Evidence path

From question to defensible conclusion

1

The short answer: Betsson does not have one worldwide licence

2

Denmark is the clearest entity-and-domain match

3

Lithuania shows why a broad register label must stay broad

4

France, Italy and Sweden have different product records

Each step must preserve the jurisdiction, product, entity, source and review date.

Denmark is the clearest entity-and-domain match

The Danish Gambling Authority's current profile names Nordic Spil Limited and the Betsson and Nordicbet brands. It lists betsson.dk and nordicbet.dk with licences for online casino and betting. The authority explains that poker is part of the online-casino framework, so it is not a third, separately inferred licence in this case.

That level of detail matters. Nordic Spil Limited, the two domains and the two licence categories are the Danish evidence. They should not be substituted with a generic Betsson group name or reused as proof for a different national site.

Lithuania shows why a broad register label must stay broad

Lithuania's Gaming Control Authority updated its remote-gambling permit journal on 7 September. The entry for UAB Lošimų strateginė grupė includes www.betsson.lt and www.betsson.com under permit 2023-DIE-31. It is an exact entity-and-domain relationship.

The journal labels the activity broadly as remote gambling. That is strong evidence for the listed relationship, but it does not itself divide the permit into sportsbook, casino or poker permissions. This guide preserves the authority's narrower wording rather than filling in a product split that the journal does not provide.

France, Italy and Sweden have different product records

France's ANJ record supports BETSSON FRANCE SA and betsson.fr for sports betting. France's regulated remote market does not turn that betting approval into online-casino evidence. A reader looking for a casino claim needs a separate French regulatory basis, not an extrapolation from the Betsson name.

Italy's ADM relationship is different: the reviewed record links www.betsson.it to Azzurri Limited and concession 16027, with sportsbook and casino categories in the Atlas relationship. Sweden is different again. Betsson Nordic Ltd is recorded at betsson.com/sv for commercial online gambling and betting, while a separate Spin Nordic record uses a www variant of the same normalised consumer URL. Atlas does not count that URL twice as two Betsson brands.

Brazil and Peru require local reading, not European assumptions

Brazil's SPA authorised-company table identifies Simulcasting Brasil Som e Imagem S.A., CNPJ 17.385.948/0001-05, betsson.bet.br and authorisation 371 of 24 February 2025. The company table does not allocate regulated product categories to each brand. It therefore supports the authorisation and domain relationship, not a detailed product menu claim.

Peru records www.betsson.pe under SFTG Limited with VIGENTE records for sports betting and remote games. The country uses separate product records, so that result remains local to the Peruvian domain and entity rather than becoming proof for a Betsson site elsewhere.

Evidence summary

named primary sources

Last editorial review: 2026-09-08. Review target: every 30 days.

Atlas currently holds ten distinct Betsson market relationships. Nine have regulator evidence inside this guide's 30-day review window; the Greece exact-domain match is dated 28 July and explicitly marked for recheck.

A Betsson brand match must be checked with the local entity, exact consumer domain and permitted activity. The same international brand does not carry one transferable licence.

Denmark, Lithuania, France, Italy, Sweden, Brazil, Peru, Buenos Aires Province and Spain illustrate materially different current records; Greece illustrates why an older positive match must not be presented as freshly checked.

The visual summary does not replace the linked regulator records below.

Buenos Aires Province is a separate provincial record

The Buenos Aires Province IPLyC publishes Betsson among its seven authorised online platforms and directs readers to pba.betsson.bet.ar. This is provincial Argentine evidence, not a national Argentina licence and not evidence for other .bet.ar addresses.

Provincial entries are especially easy to overstate. Keep the provincial regulator, platform and exact domain together; do not merge them into a wider Latin American or corporate-group conclusion.

Spain is current; the Greece domain match needs a fresh check

Spain's DGOJ operator finder supports the Spanish Betsson relationship at operator, website and licensed-product level. That result belongs to Spain and to the listed Spanish entity and domain; it is not evidence for another Betsson site.

Greece is deliberately displayed differently. Atlas last cleanly matched betsson.gr in the Hellenic Gaming Commission's website-legitimacy directory on 28 July. The HGC checker and holder count were reopened in September, but the exact-domain result was not cleanly reproduced. The relationship is therefore visible as recheck due rather than being silently described as current or silently deleted.

How to verify a Betsson claim yourself

Open the regulator register for the market you are checking. Search the exact local domain first, then Betsson and the entity shown in the record. Confirm the activity, licence or permit identifier and the date the authority has published or updated the record.

  • Use the market-specific Betsson domain, not just a global homepage.
  • Match the entity recorded by the regulator.
  • Keep betting, casino, poker and broad remote-gambling findings separate.
  • Treat a no-match as specific to the market and register searched.
  • Record the source URL and date before treating an answer as current.

What this guide does not establish

This guide does not recommend Betsson, rank it against another operator or test registration, geolocation, payments, promotions, withdrawals, customer service or player protection. Those are separate questions requiring their own evidence.

Regulatory directories change. Atlas will review this high-risk guide within 30 days and earlier when a material authority record changes. A current regulator page controls over an older article.
