Brazil betting sites: verify an authorised .bet.br brand

Start with the Ministry of Finance live page for companies authorised by the Secretaria de Prêmios e Apostas. The Ministry reported 85 authorised companies on 13 August 2026, and the live company table was rechecked on 24 August. It identifies the authorised legal entity, CNPJ, approved brands, .bet.br domains, ordinance, SIGAP request number and links to public process documents.

Do not treat a brand search or a .bet.br ending as the complete answer. The result is strongest when the company, identifier, brand, exact domain and current ordinance all point to the same entry.

The current table contains 85 authorisation rows but 82 unique CNPJs because a legal entity can appear in more than one authorisation row. Across the same table, Atlas counts 188 brand rows, 185 defined domains and three domains marked to be defined.

Those figures should not be forced into an artificial match. Atlas labels the unit beside each number and uses the legal entity, CNPJ, brand, exact domain, ordinance and SIGAP request together. The 24 August reconciliation also corrected LOGAME's request from 0096/2024 to the current official 0095/2024.

From 12 August 2026, SPA began publishing the administrative material behind 85 authorisations. The first phase contains 582 treated documents across 2,240 pages after personal or restricted information was removed or anonymised.

The released set includes legal-qualification analysis, suitability analysis, origin-of-funds and financial-capacity analysis, proof of the authorisation-fee payment and a final analysis report. These documents strengthen due-diligence work, but they do not replace the current company table, ordinance or exact domain match.

The SPA publishes companies authorised under the administrative framework in the live table, while operations maintained by court order appear in a separate file. Atlas preserves those legal bases instead of presenting one undifferentiated authorised count.

The court-order file dated 4 February 2026 contains two companies and six brand-domain rows. A row in that file means the SPA attributes the operation to the stated judicial proceeding; it is not counted as an administrative authorisation.

Brazil's Ministry of Finance states that fixed-odds sports betting was legalised under Law 13,756/2018 and online games within the fixed-odds framework under Law 14,790/2023. A company needs prior SPA authorisation to operate nationally.

The Ministry also states that, since 1 January 2025, only authorised companies may operate nationally. This guide therefore checks federal authorisation for the exact fixed-odds betting service; it does not convert that record into a conclusion about every gaming, lottery or state-level activity in Brazil.

The federal overview says authorised betting websites use the .bet.br extension. This makes the namespace an important first filter: an international .com or another hostname should not be presented as the federally authorised Brazilian service merely because the brand is familiar.

The domain still has to appear beside the correct brand and company in the official record. A lookalike hostname, a spelling variation or a domain borrowed from another authorised brand does not complete that match.

An SPA authorisation is held by a legal entity, while users normally recognise the consumer brand. The Ministry explains that each federal authorisation can support up to three brands and each brand can operate its own betting website.

That structure is why a brand-only list loses important information. Record the legal company and CNPJ first, then the brand and exact domain. This makes it possible to distinguish a legitimate rebrand or group structure from an unsupported use of a known name.

The company list links entries to SPA/MF ordinances and can note later corrections or amendments. These references are material: they show the formal act behind the listing and whether the original record was subsequently changed.

A reproducible Atlas note stores the current list URL, ordinance reference, any amendment shown and the date of the check. It should not rely only on a screenshot or a copied list of brand names.

The federal government provides a public service for consulting companies that requested authorisation through SIGAP. That application dataset answers a different question from the list of companies authorised to operate.

A pending or submitted request should therefore never be described as a licence. For an operational claim, use the authorised-company record and the relevant ordinance; use the SIGAP request service only as contextual evidence about an application.

The workflow below keeps the result narrow enough to reproduce and update.

If the exact brand or domain cannot be connected to an authorised company, record it as not listed in the current federal authorisation source. Test trading names, the legal entity and spelling variants before closing the search.

Do not replace a missing match with a foreign licence, an operator footer or an application record. Those may provide context, but they do not establish authorisation for the Brazilian service being checked.

Most errors collapse records that the official list keeps separate. The presence of one correct element does not excuse a mismatch elsewhere in the chain.
