The short answer
- The current Atlas dataset records 15 licensed DraftKings relationships and one Nevada not-listed relationship across 16 reviewed North American markets.
- Six relationships support sportsbook and online-casino evidence; Arizona and Louisiana separately preserve fantasy permissions.
- Sports wagering, online casino, poker and fantasy permissions are separate products and can have different entities, partners and regulators.
- A state where the sportsbook is licensed should not automatically be labelled as an online-casino state.
- Connecticut, Ohio, Arizona, Louisiana, Virginia, Massachusetts, Maryland and Nevada were rechecked against current primary records on 21-24 August 2026.

This is an evidence ledger, not a geolocation or account-acceptance test. Nevada is not listed for the online sportsbook in the reviewed evidence; DraftKings' current availability page identifies only free-to-play contests there.
Why DraftKings does not have one US-wide licence
US gambling permission is primarily state-specific. Each reviewed state decides which products are legal, which companies or platform partners may offer them and which regulator maintains the controlling record.
DraftKings can therefore be licensed for mobile sports wagering in one state, licensed for sportsbook and online casino in another, and absent from the reviewed operator record elsewhere. The brand name alone cannot collapse those distinctions.

What the August source refresh adds
The current Atlas footprint
The present Atlas review contains 16 DraftKings market relationships: 15 licensed and one not listed. Fifteen are US jurisdictions and one is Ontario, which is retained as a separate provincial record within the North American footprint.
The count reflects only markets currently represented in the Atlas dataset. It is not a claim that the list covers every DraftKings product, retail location or fantasy-sports registration.
Sportsbook and online casino are different permissions
Ontario, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia and Connecticut support evidence for both sportsbook and online casino relationships. Pennsylvania also has a separate current poker-directory match. Other reviewed states support sportsbook only in the current Atlas record.
This product distinction matters for search queries such as whether DraftKings is legal in a state. The answer should specify the product rather than treating the brand as a single licence.
What the August source refresh adds
Connecticut's DCP currently identifies DraftKings through Foxwoods as one of three licensed sports-wagering platforms and one of two authorised online-casino platforms. Arizona's approved-operator page separately places DraftKings under event wagering and fantasy sports, while Louisiana publishes separate sportsbook and fantasy identifiers.
Ohio's May 2026 sports-gaming report, Virginia's permitted-platform page, Massachusetts' Category 3 licensee roster and Maryland's legal-operator page provide recent operating evidence. The matrix now exposes those product splits instead of presenting a flat list of states.
Platform partners and legal entities
Some state frameworks connect an online brand to a land-based casino, permit holder or other market-access partner. The regulator may publish the partner, platform, legal entity and brand in different documents.
A careful check records those relationships without assuming that the same partner or entity applies nationally. Where a unique licence or registration number is available, it should be preserved.

The current Atlas dataset records 15 licensed DraftKings relationships and one Nevada not-listed relationship across 16 reviewed North American markets.
Six relationships support sportsbook and online-casino evidence; Arizona and Louisiana separately preserve fantasy permissions.
Sports wagering, online casino, poker and fantasy permissions are separate products and can have different entities, partners and regulators.
Why Nevada is labelled not listed
DraftKings' current product-availability page does not list its online sportsbook for Nevada and identifies only free-to-play contests in the state. Atlas therefore retains the reviewed sportsbook relationship as not listed rather than converting general brand availability into a licensed-sportsbook claim.
Nevada's market structure and product permissions differ from the mobile-sportsbook models used in many other states. The label is narrow: it describes the reviewed online-sportsbook evidence and does not make a global allegation about DraftKings or other products.
A state-by-state verification workflow
Start with the exact state and product. Open the responsible regulator's current operator list, revenue report or licensing directory, then search the brand, legal entity and market-access partner. Confirm whether the record is active and whether it covers mobile sportsbook, online casino, poker or fantasy activity.
Save the source date and distinguish a current operator directory from a press release, meeting agenda or historical approval.
- Name the state and product before searching.
- Use the current regulator source rather than a national availability list.
- Match the brand to the entity or partner named by the authority.
- Separate sportsbook, casino, poker and fantasy permissions.
- Record status, source date and any unresolved field.
What the downloadable evidence contains
The CSV preserves each reviewed market, Atlas status, products, regulator, evidence type, source URL and last-verification date. It is designed for reproducibility and comparison rather than as a promotional availability list.
The file should be treated as a dated research output. The official state record controls when a later update conflicts with the export.
Review schedule and corrections
State operator rosters can change after launches, withdrawals, rebrands and market-access changes. This guide is scheduled for review every 30 days and earlier after a material regulator announcement.
Corrections supported by an official source can be submitted through the Atlas contact and corrections process without payment.
