Hungary legal gambling sites: read the SZTFH register

Check an exact Hungarian gambling hostname against SZTFH's current register without confusing a legal entity, product permission or blocked-site record with a licence.

The short answer

  • SZTFH's current register contains five permission rows across two products: three online-casino rows and two remote-gambling rows.
  • Those five rows represent four unique hostnames and two legal entities. vegas.hu appears twice because it has separate online-casino and remote-gambling permissions with different validity dates.
  • The register displays each listed permission as not suspended, using the Hungarian value NEM, and links to a downloadable operating permit.
  • A positive-register match should preserve the exact hostname, legal entity, product, validity date and suspension field instead of collapsing them into one brand status.
  • SZTFH's blocked-site register is separate enforcement evidence. Absence from that list is not proof of a licence, and absence from the positive register is not by itself a legal ruling.

Five rows do not mean five operators or five unique sites. vegas.hu is repeated under two product permissions, so the snapshot contains four hostnames and two legal entities.

Start with the positive licence register

Hungary's Supervisory Authority for Regulatory Affairs, SZTFH, publishes an authoritative register of gambling permissions. The useful unit is not a brand name on its own. It is a dated row joining a product, exact hostname, legal entity, validity date, suspension status and downloadable permit.

The current online section contains three online-casino rows and two remote-gambling rows. Each displayed permission shows NEM in the suspension column, meaning no. The register was last modified on 1 October 2026 at 15:45 and Atlas rechecked the five rows on 6 October.

From question to defensible conclusion

3

Why vegas.hu appears twice

A reproducible SZTFH website check

Each step must preserve the jurisdiction, product, entity, source and review date.

Five permissions are four hostnames and two entities

A row count is not an operator count. LVC Diamond Játékkaszinó Üzemeltető Kft. holds the three displayed online-casino rows for kaszino.hu, vegas.hu and xcasino.hu, plus the remote-gambling row for vegas.hu. Szerencsejáték Zrt. holds the remote-gambling row for tippmixpro.hu.

Atlas therefore counts five permission rows, four unique hostnames, two legal entities and two product categories. Keeping those measures separate prevents a repeated domain or entity from inflating the apparent market and prevents one product permission from being projected onto another.

Why vegas.hu appears twice

The register connects vegas.hu to the same legal entity in two different product sections. Its online-casino permission is displayed as valid until 31 March 2056, while its remote-gambling permission is displayed as valid until 26 June 2030.

Those are not duplicate data rows to discard. They are distinct permissions with different scope and term. A domain-level check should preserve both rows and then match the product actually being assessed.

A reproducible SZTFH website check

Begin with the complete hostname and the gambling product presented to the user. Record the check date because the regulator can amend, suspend or remove a permission before Atlas's next review.

  • Open SZTFH's authoritative permission register and use the relevant online-casino or remote-gambling section.
  • Match the exact hostname rather than a logo, search result, parent company or similar-looking domain.
  • Record the legal entity, product category, displayed validity date and suspension value from the same row.
  • Open the linked operating permit when a licence identifier or the detailed decision scope is material to the check.
  • If one hostname appears in more than one product section, retain every applicable row rather than deduplicating the domain.
  • If the site does not match exactly, mark the result unresolved and consult SZTFH; do not convert register silence into a legal conclusion.

Last editorial review: 2026-10-06. Review target: every 30 days.

SZTFH's current register contains five permission rows across two products: three online-casino rows and two remote-gambling rows.

Those five rows represent four unique hostnames and two legal entities. vegas.hu appears twice because it has separate online-casino and remote-gambling permissions with different validity dates.

The register displays each listed permission as not suspended, using the Hungarian value NEM, and links to a downloadable operating permit.

The visual summary does not replace the linked regulator records below.

Remote gambling has a defined licensing scope

SZTFH describes remote gambling as betting organised exclusively through communications equipment and systems. Its guidance says the Hungarian market has not been limited to state gambling companies since 1 January 2023: eligible Hungarian or European Economic Area companies can apply, subject to the statutory conditions.

The Authority may grant a remote-gambling permit for up to seven years. That maximum does not replace the date on an individual register row, and it does not extend an online-casino permission or a group company's status to another product or hostname.

The blocked-site register answers a different question

SZTFH also publishes a separate register of blocked gambling websites. That record identifies domains affected by enforcement measures and was last modified on 5 October 2026 at 16:39. It is useful evidence about a named enforcement action, but it is not the positive list of current permissions.

A hostname's absence from the blocked-site register does not establish that it is licensed. Conversely, a missing match in the positive register is a reason to stop and verify, not enough evidence for Atlas to declare the site illegal. The current regulator record and the exact facts of the service control that assessment.

Method, limits and next review

Atlas rechecked the current authoritative register, remote-gambling guidance and blocked-site register on 6 October 2026. The five-row positive-register matrix remains unchanged; counts preserve the regulator's product sections and exact legal-entity and hostname strings without merging distinct products. The blocked-site register changed independently on 5 October, which does not alter or extend any positive permission. None of the four positive-register hostnames appears in the blocked-site page captured for this check, but that absence is not used as licence evidence. The existing Hungary profile was checked for conflict, but no profile date or relationship was advanced because the permission rows were unchanged.

This guide does not test accounts, geolocation, deposits, withdrawals, games, odds, bonuses or customer support. It does not rank or recommend sites, and it does not treat a corporate group or brand as a substitute for the named licensee. Atlas will recheck by 31 October 2026 and sooner if SZTFH changes either register; the latest official record controls if it differs from this page.
