Selected supplementary-licence application conditions

Applicants for supplementary online licences must evidence 40% solvency, a payment-security plan, a policy restricting access by socially vulnerable groups and clearance of confirmed, undisputed federal tax debts. A responsible contact and a permanent data connection with the Commission are also required.

Annual online-licence contributions for 2026

Key date: 1 Jan 2026

For calendar year 2026, the Commission contribution is EUR12,698 per A+ licence, EUR12,698 per B+ licence and EUR14,493 per F1+ licence. It is payable once annually for the whole calendar year regardless of operating duration. Underlying land-based licences have separate contributions.

Security guarantees by online licence

The statutory security guarantee is EUR250,000 for A+ and EUR75,000 each for B+ and F1+. It must be lodged with the Deposit and Consignment Office at least five days before gambling operations begin. This guarantee is separate from annual contributions.

Permitted advertising formats and content controls

Only the decree’s listed advertising forms are permitted. Advertising on an operator’s own website or own content-sharing accounts must be non-interactive, must not reward a third party for advertising, and moving images must last at most five seconds. Personalized advertising is prohibited; each advert requires an age indication and prevention message.

Identity, age, exclusion and payment checks

A+, B+ and F1+ holders must identify players and verify access eligibility, with EPIS supporting exclusion checks. Play must be refused when identification is doubtful. Online gambling is prohibited below 21, and exclusions include voluntary requests accepted by the Commission. Credit-card payments are prohibited online.

Weekly deposits and personal limits

The Commission distinguishes deposits from stakes or wagers: the standard online deposit limit is EUR200 per week per website. Players may request a lower personal limit. Only players who are not registered as credit defaulters with the National Bank’s Central Individual Credit Office may request the limit to be lifted.

Consumer-dispute escalation

Contact the operator first. Unresolved consumer disputes may be taken to the Consumer Mediation Service. Its gambling guidance states that it cannot intervene in disputes involving illegal gambling sites.
