The short answer
- Atlas currently holds ten 888 market relationships: nine matched to current licence evidence and the Netherlands held under review pending product-directory recovery.
- The legal entity changes by jurisdiction, including 888 UK Limited, 888 Portugal Limited, 888 Online Games España, 888 Denmark Limited, 888 EIRE LTD and Godwits Limited.
- Product scope also changes. Portugal records casino games and poker but not sports betting, while Ireland's current GRAI record supports remote betting only.
- The strongest check joins four fields: local entity, exact domain, licensed activity and current regulator record.

The short answer: 888 has nine current licence matches
Atlas currently records ten 888 relationships across national markets. Nine are matched to current licence evidence and the Netherlands is under review while its live product directory is unavailable. These are evidence-ledger results, not a list of every place where a visitor can load an 888 page, and they do not mean casino, poker, bingo and sports betting are all permitted in every market.
A reliable answer starts with the jurisdiction. It then matches the local 888 entity and domain to the products shown by that regulator. The details vary enough that a simple country list would hide the part readers most need to know.
From question to defensible conclusion
The short answer: 888 has nine current licence matches
Great Britain has four active remote activity lines
Portugal is casino and poker evidence, not sportsbook evidence
Spain links one entity to four consumer domains
Great Britain has four active remote activity lines
The Gambling Commission lists 888 UK Limited under account 39028. Its current licence summary has active remote activities for bingo, casino, real-event betting and virtual-event betting. Those are four activity lines under one operator account, not four licences or four companies.
This record establishes the British entity and activity scope. It should not be copied into an Irish, Spanish or Portuguese answer, where the named entities and permissions are different.
Portugal is casino and poker evidence, not sportsbook evidence
Portugal's SRIJ names 888 Portugal Limited, www.888.pt and licence 016. The listed activities include machine games, French roulette and several poker forms, including tournament poker, Hold'em and Omaha with shared-liquidity amendments.
The current 888 entry does not list fixed-odds sports betting. Calling the Portuguese record a general casino, poker and sportsbook licence would therefore be wrong, even though 888sport is licensed in other countries.
Spain links one entity to four consumer domains
The DGOJ operator finder lists 888 Online Games España, S.A. and four approved domains: 888casino.es, 888poker.es, 888.es and 888sport.es. The domain family helps a reader distinguish the local Spanish services from an international 888 address.
Atlas records sportsbook, casino and poker for Spain. The useful evidence chain is still entity, approved domain and licensed game category. A familiar sub-brand name on its own is not enough.
Germany, Sweden and Denmark organise products differently
Germany's GGL whitelist records 888 Germany Limited with separate consumer domains for sports betting, virtual slot games and online poker. Sweden's current licence-register dataset names 888 Sweden Limited and the 888.se, 888casino.se, 888poker.se and 888sport.se domains for commercial online gambling and betting.
Denmark names 888 Denmark Limited and four .dk domains. Its profile lists online casino and betting as the two licence categories, then explains that poker falls inside the online-casino licence. Treating poker as a third Danish licence would misread the authority's structure.
The Netherlands record also carries a supervision lesson
A November 2025 KSA supervision notice explicitly connects Godwits Limited to the 888 brand and 888.nl. The notice followed reports about customer-service availability and a technical problem involving welcome bonuses; it says Godwits added staff and addressed the fault.
The current consumer directory could not be reopened on 8 September, so Atlas is not carrying forward the older sportsbook and casino split as a present certainty. The relationship remains under review until that product scope can be revalidated. This is a source-access limitation, not a finding that 888.nl is illegal.

Atlas currently holds ten 888 market relationships: nine matched to current licence evidence and the Netherlands held under review pending product-directory recovery.
The legal entity changes by jurisdiction, including 888 UK Limited, 888 Portugal Limited, 888 Online Games España, 888 Denmark Limited, 888 EIRE LTD and Godwits Limited.
Product scope also changes. Portugal records casino games and poker but not sports betting, while Ireland's current GRAI record supports remote betting only.
Ireland's current national record is remote betting only
The GRAI record for 888 EIRE LTD lists remote-betting licence GRAI-1090-RB-26-0001, with 888Sport and 888 as trading names and an expiry date of 30 July 2029. Atlas therefore records sportsbook evidence for Ireland under the new national register.
That record does not establish casino or poker permission under the same GRAI licence. Casino and poker appear in the separate Gibraltar approved-brand evidence, which is a different jurisdictional basis and should not be merged into the Irish national betting result.
Malta and Gibraltar are not universal passports
Malta's live authorisation seal names Virtual Digital Services Limited and shows MGA/CRP/121/2006-09 as licensed. It separately shows MGA/B2C/543/2018 as surrendered, so the older number must not be repeated as if it were the active basis. Gibraltar's approved-brand record names Virtual Global Digital Services Limited and the 888, 888 Casino, 888 Poker and 888 Sport family.
They do not override local rules elsewhere. A Malta or Gibraltar licence must not be presented as automatic permission to target every European or international market.
How to check an 888 licence claim
Start with the market and product you need to verify. Open that authority's register, search the local 888 domain and entity, then capture the licence or account reference, activity and current status.
- Search 888casino, 888poker and 888sport separately when the register is domain-based.
- Match the legal entity instead of assuming evoke plc is the licence holder.
- Keep bingo, casino, poker and betting permissions separate.
- Read expiry dates and current-status fields before relying on an older entry.
- Describe a missing match only as a finding in the register and market searched.
What this guide does not establish
This guide is not a recommendation, legal opinion or test of account eligibility. It does not assess bonuses, odds, game selection, payments, verification speed, withdrawals, service quality or player outcomes.
Regulatory records change. Atlas will review this high-risk guide within 30 days and sooner if a material source changes. The current authority record takes priority over an older Atlas snapshot.
